Project Manager Productive sectors

You will be engaged as one of the Project Managers in the Swedish office, in a team of approximately 40 staff. Your base will be in Stockholm, with travels to countries of assignments. This is a 18 months temporary position due to leave of absence of ordinary staff.

The Project Manager will provide technical expertise and/or manage projects, as well as to participate in internal market work.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks: 

  • Participate in preparation of proposals for assignments (tender preparation), including identifying suitable experts and select references assignments, editing text in CVs and references, collecting business documentation, preparing and editing descriptions of technical approach to implementation of assignments.
  • Support in project management of on-going projects, including follow-up of contracts with clients, monitor and support submission of reports, assessing services and products delivered supervision and backstopping of field staff, etc.
  • Actively participate in general market work, such as fact finding, following clients’ (donor agencies) policy processes, maintaining network of partners and potential sub-consultants.
  • Ad hoc assistance to general office tasks.

About you

In order to fulfil these tasks we expect that you have a Master degree in a topic relevant for the job, e.g. Agronomy, Forestry, Engineering, Water Resources, Biology or related fields, combined with studies and / or experience in international development. Your ability and fluency in writing and speaking English is of utmost importance, Swedish is preferred and capabilities in other languages is an added advantage. We expect that you have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience and strong capability of working independently.
