In 2015, the UN adopted the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end extreme poverty, rescue the planet and build a peaceful world while “leaving no one behind”. Although great progress has been achieved in many areas, it will take ambitious and holistic actions to deliver the goals and address the world’s biggest challenges, especially climate change and inequality.

As a knowledge-driven organisation, we provide extensive expertise, policy advice, and proven results-based management to large complex projects, while integrating economic, social, and technical science in broad-based sustainable solutions in a variety of fields. We do this in partnership with our country offices in over 30 countries and our extensive network of experts to ensure a comprehensive, results-driven approach that is both contextually sensitive and produces innovative outcomes for maximum value.
NIRAS Development Consulting currently manages a vast portfolio of high impact projects across Africa, Asia Pacific, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East with a range of clients, primarily international aid agencies such as ADB, DANIDA, FCDO, GIZ, the EU, KfW, SDC, MFA Finland, SIDA, and the World Bank, amongst others. Client expertise is coordinated by several Key Account Managers.

Our story is the achievements of our clients and how we share, learn from, and build on knowledge generated within the projects we facilitate.
