Thomas Dubois holds a M.Sc. degree in Land Surveying, which he studied at the Royal Inst. of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. He is specializing in the technical aspects of surveying, including Geodesy, GIS and Mapping, and performed his thesis analyzing the deformation of a landslide in Costa Rica. He has more than 15 years’ experience in teaching Surveying and GIS in theory and practice at university level, and has also been working with programming related to surveying software.
He has spent more than 7 years as a Technical Adviser / Component Team Leader working with land administration projects in Africa. Most of that time has been spent in Ethiopia, but he has also been organizing and performing ITP courses in Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique. Outside Africa, he has been involved as a short term expert in land related projects in Bangladesh and Indonesia.
Thomasis fluent in English and Swedish, and can also speak Spanish on a working level.
