Carolina holds an M.Sc. in Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development from Stockholm Resilience Centre and a BA in Social Anthropology (BA) with a particular focus on local and traditional knowledge systems.
She is one of thirteen Junior Consultants that are taking part in the first round of NIRAS Young Professional Academy (NYPA). As part of the NYPA she is based in Belgrade but is regularly supporting NIRAS’ projects abroad (Lao PDR, Myanmar, Kenya) with tender management, project management and consultancy in the fields of e.g. of bio-energy, agro-biodiversity, and integrated coastal zone management.
Prior to Joining NIRAS she interned and worked with SwedBio in the science-policy interface promoting the inclusion of local and traditional knowledge and knowledge holders into decision making and natural resource governance and management. She has also worked with the NGO Solidaridad Suecia-America Latina (SAL) which supports Indigenous People and Local Communities (IPLCs) in Latin America.
