Alícia Borges Månsson is an education and training specialist with 20 year experience of development cooperation. Her experience includes project management, feasibility and implementation of programmes, research studies as well evaluations. She has worked in diverse country contexts such as Sweden, Angola, Bolivia, Cambodia, Colombia, Guatemala, Mozambique, Rwanda, among others. The thematic areas in which she has worked cover; education and training (assessments of national education sector plans; review and design of training packages); health (evaluation of health sector and regional health human resources programmes), gender mainstreaming (of country employment programmes, skills development for girls). Her expertise also includes planning and implementation of international training programmes with a focus on Women, Peace and Security, VET and Labour Market and Health Systems Development. Her current responsibilities include marketing, quality assurance, managing of contract framework on skills and education as well as oversight of individual projects such as study on gender and dropouts; validation of the performance for results programme; and review of curriculum and teaching learning material in Tanzania.
Alícia holds a Master’s degree in Education, Stockholm University, Sweden and a Degree in Language and Literature - English, Portuguese - Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.
Alicia is fluent in Swedish, English and Portuguese and has a good working knowledge in French and Spanish.
